Coaching Philosophy & Approach
What’s the point of coaching, anyway?
Coaching helps you get unstuck. It gives you space to clarify what you want, identify what’s getting in the way, and take action in a way that works for you. It’s not just about insight. It’s about building the systems, routines, and behaviors that help you thrive.

How is this different from therapy?
Therapy often focuses on healing, mental health, and processing the past. Coaching is action-oriented. It helps you move forward, build tools, and take steps toward your goals. I don’t diagnose or treat mental health conditions, but I work alongside therapy or on its own, depending on your needs.
What’s the difference between executive coaching, life coaching, and other types of coaching?
-
Executive coaching is designed for professionals in leadership or high-impact roles like executives, founders, managers, or rising stars. It focuses on helping them lead more effectively, navigate change, build strong teams, and grow in a way that aligns with both business goals and personal values.
-
Life coaching is broader and more personal. It often focuses on relationships, well-being, confidence, or navigating life transitions like parenthood, divorce, or burnout.
-
Career coaching supports people making job or industry changes, exploring new paths, or seeking clarity — often with tactical tools like resume help or interview prep.
-
Mindset or performance coaching helps individuals overcome internal barriers, reduce stress, and show up with more confidence and clarity.
What kind of coaching do you offer?
I offer executive coaching. I also specialize in a neurodiversity-informed lens — supporting people who lead, parent, or are neurodivergent.
My clients include:
-
Leaders and professionals, neurodivergent or not -- from the C-suite to early career
-
High-achieving college students and recent grads navigating the start of their professional journey
-
Parents in demanding executive roles raising neurodivergent children
-
Managers and executives who want to lead more inclusively and effectively with neurodivergent team members
My coaching combines strategic insight with practical tools and a deep understanding of how neurodivergence affects leadership, communication, decision-making, and team dynamics.

What if I’m not neurodivergent?
That’s completely okay. Many of my clients identify as neurotypical but still feel out of place in traditional systems, roles, or expectations. The truth is, strategies that support neurodivergent brains (like clarity, flexibility, and self-compassion) often work even better for everyone. Coaching with me is about designing a way of living, working, and relating that actually fits you regardless of any label.

What if I’m neurodivergent but not diagnosed?
No formal diagnosis is needed to benefit from coaching. If you’ve ever felt like you had to work twice as hard to succeed, or that traditional advice doesn’t work for how your brain functions, you’re in the right place.

Certification & Background
Do executive coaches need to be certified?
Technically, no. Executive coaching isn’t a regulated field, so anyone can call themselves a coach. But not all coaches are created equal. Certification from a recognized institution like the Berkeley Executive Coaching Institute (BECI) and International Coaching Federation (ICF) ensures that a coach has completed rigorous training, adheres to ethical guidelines, and uses proven methods to support clients.

Are you a certified executive coach?
I’m in the final stage of a highly respected, ICF-accredited certification program through the Berkeley Executive Coaching Institute (BECI). BECI is an International Coaching Federation (ICF) Level 2 Accredited Program, meeting the highest global standards for coaching education.

This final stage, called the practicum, means I’ve completed all coursework and passed assessments on coaching competencies. I’m now working with clients while logging live coaching hours under the guidance of trained mentors and master coaches.

In short: I’m already coaching clients, with the added benefit of real-time feedback, rigorous supervision, and an ongoing commitment to growth. It’s a high-accountability, high-impact phase, and it means my clients are getting someone who is both well-trained and actively sharpening their skills every day.

How is BECI different from other coaching programs?
Most coaching programs focus on life or mindset coaching. BECI is designed specifically for coaching executives, professionals, and change-makers in high-pressure, complex environments. I chose this program because of its focus on real-world impact, equity-informed frameworks, and deep skill-building. BECI's evidence-based leadership coaching is used by leaders at Google, Genentech, and the United Nations. This means I’m trained to move beyond surface-level support and guide clients through real decision-making, team dynamics, and behavior change.

Why does experience matter in a coach?
Because you’re not just hiring a coach, you’re choosing a thought partner. I bring lived and professional experience across nonprofit and corporate leadership, elite academic institutions, parenting, and navigating neurodivergence across generations. I understand complexity because I’ve lived it. I use that insight to help you move forward.
